  • DF150 Battery charging problem

    On my 2014 DF150 since few days the SMIS gauge is displaying 11.7 volts !

    Today I did some check

    Engine Stopped
    - Battery -->same value 11.9 volts
    - take the measure on the motor on starter --> same 11.9 volts.

    Engine at idle

    Nothing change , the value is same 11.9 volts

    So it seems that the engine doesn't charge the battery .
    I already check all the connection and all OK

    Any suggestions ?

    Rectifier/ Regulator dead ?

    It's OK I found the problem

    It was the double ground cable located between the ECU an the rectifier/regulator. The bolt was loosed

    After test , 13 Volts at idle !

      Good work finding the problem. A regular annual check of all main electrical connections to make sure they are clean, corrosion free and tight is a good idea!
