2007 df150 single engine bennacle

my throttle has to be held in position or it will slowly move .how do you tighten it ?shifting seems fine .

There is one screw each on the front and back (top and bottom, if you prefer) of the binnacle cover. Take those out and remove the cover. You'll see the tension adjustment screw there on the back side of the mechanics. Clockwise to increase tension. This answer refers to the console mount binnacle (also referred to as top mount) that does NOT have the ignition key built-in. Side mount binnacle will be different. I can't help you there.

thanks i tried that and could not get the plastic cover to release is there a special way or tool needed after removeing the two retaining screws to get the cover off
