No water coming out back engine port?

I have a DF140 and no water is coming out the back engine pee port. I just changed the impeller but it did not come out before too. Only air comes out? I used ear muffs, also put it in a trash can filled with water.
Any ideas?

working now

I hooked up the hose to the side of the engine ran water and blew compressed air through the water port at the same time. The gunk came out!
