Last week we were running my 25' C Hawk in rough seas, when we hit a big wave and the boat slammed down hard. The DT200 shut off just like you turned the switch off. Since then I disconnected the kill switch. Now it starts but as soon as you let the switch go it quits running.. ANY IDEAS WHERE I CAN START LOOKING?? This engine has never given me a second of problems.

Did you get the kill switch working, or replace it?
The dt200 was made for a number of years, what year is your motor?
Does this model have the efi, or carbs?

Thought? If the kill switch is wired like the DF series it is intrical to the white wire the further powers the ECM
Cut it out of the loop and you get no power to the ECM

Trying to understand the logic
Also on some wiring configurations the main power to the ignition goes through the dash panel then onto the ignition switch
You might double check all those connectiosComment
