DF2.5 HP mods?

Hey guys. I did a search but didn't come up with anything. Are there any quick and dirty mods to give a DF2.5 a bump in HP? I know some motors can gain some with a carb change, but I haven't seen any mention of that for the 2.5

Probably not much can be done. The carb modifications are generally on 4HP to 6HP conversions, where you'll notice the 4HP and 6HP engines are the same weight. That's because they are the same engines, with different carbs. There isn't a larger HP engine that weights the same as the 2.5HP engine.

I have read that the smaller engines tend to be set very lean to pass emissions. There may be a slight HP benefit to changing carb jets, but not enough to be worth the effort IMO. I have a DF2.5S too. It's about at the peak of HP for that 30 lb-ish weight category. Going up to 4HP adds a lot of weight.
