Took my DF70 into my suzuki dealer and they cannot figure out whats wrong with my motor. Initially took it in for safe mode performance and all the codes and alarms. turned out to be engine making oil. replaced spark plugs cleaned fuel system and replaced fuel filter. removed gas tank cleaned COMPLETELY. got it home took it out and ran fine down the lake but when I went to head back in it would not start. Took it back in and they found NOTHING. Mind you its an hour + each way to dealership. So they said the motor is fine and dont pay attention to the flashing lights (codes) and they disconnected the alarm. Now they are saying I have a bad ECU to the tune of $1600 to replace it. They do not KNOW for sure if it is the ECU... they are guessing....anyone think or have any advice?

Think I would find another suzuki dealer/mechanic. They shouldn't have disconnected the alarm. They really told you to ignore the flashing lights? Make sure they put that in writing...? Then they can buy you a new motor if it destroys itself.
Good luck,

If you know how to use a digital multimeter and can do some voltage drop tests, I can tell you what voltages and grounds on the pins of the ecu you should see, if you can't down load a wiring schematic and take the boat to an auto electrician. Unless these clowns wired something wrong, and it has fried something in the ecu it should be alright.
