1999 DT150 Battery Cable Hook up

Hi, I just got this engine and I am having problems getting power from the battery. The positive terminal I have hooked up to the small stud on the left side of the relay. I have confirmed the other cable from the relay goes to the starter. The negative cable I put on the bottom starter bolt facing outwards(there was already a thin ground wire running from that bold to the relay side. Also on the negative battery cable there is a 2nd thin ground wire that I hooked up to the starter bolt above the other one. I am getting no power(no crank and both trim switches dont do anything).
I replaced the inline fuses that are on the red wires that are from the relay.

I will try to get pictures ASAP, but any help me would be greatly appreciated

I couldnt find the edit button, but the engine is a DT115 not 150

pictures, someone has told me the negative cable needs to go to the bolt on the starter band behind the oil tank, is that true?
