I have a df140 and was changing the impeller. The existing set ring was broken and drive shaft bushing was worn. I have purchased the new parts and I know black bushing goes on drive shaft but does it go on bottom of drive shaft or top? I am slightly confused where on the drive shaft this bushing goes. Also, I don't know where the set ring goes? Any help would be much appreciated. I have attached a pic of the parts purchased.

Did you check parts diagrams?
They have the purchase suzuki parts daigram that has a basic detail. Click on the puchase suzuki parts link above. Then select model and year. It shows a basic diagram and may have the info u are looking forComment

You did not mention what year your engine is
however, as briscoe, mentioned.. go to the top of this page
"Purchase Suzuki Parts"
click on the year and DF140
click on "water pump" and you will see an exploded view
and if need be look at the "gear case"
