I'm just selling my MacGregor 26 sailboat and the surveyor was looking closely (sensibly) at the DF50 on the back.
He he admitted he wasn't an OBM spe******t, and on several occasions phoned a friend who was.
When we removed one of the internal anodes, for inspection, it was pretty clogged up with the sort of stuff I'd been getting out with my regular flushing.
He said he thought it was probably aluminum filings; i.e. The engine wearing away. Do you think that's likely?
My other question is - "How do you replace the internal anodes"? I can get it out ok but not sure how to remove it from the bit it's attached to that's bolted onto the engine; do you just put a wrench on it and unscrew it or what?
Many thanks!
