  • Suzuki NMEA backbone to Raymarine sea talk ng

I just installed a pair of DF300s on my boat. I've got a Raymarine e165 on board and I'm trying to get the Suzuki backbone connected to the Raymarine sea talk network.

What cable(s) is needed to do so?

Is a power isolator needed between the two backbones?

    Thanks,

Raymarine seatalk ....... brrrrrrr...... Sometimes they and Suzuki networks dont play well together. Ive never set one up myself. You have verified that your Raymarine MFD has engine data display pages, right?

I recommend that you talk to Raymarine about how to connect their network or that display to a NMEA 2000 network, they should be able to advise you about options, cables and power isolation. You are correct in that those are the main issues to address.

Good luck, please post back with what you find.
