  • Water Flow

Hello I am new here and hope I can find answers...Have a 1994 25HP Suzuki.
The water is not coming out the big hole in the back like it use to.I have replaced the water pump and thermostat. The small pee hole is shooting out very good. I was fishing and started running WOT and the engine rpm's kicked back. The oil tank is about half full. Engine runs fine at idle. I did fish about 3 hours before this happened. Headed to boat ramp. Got home and run motor in a 55 gal. barrel...that's when I noticed it not coming out of the water hole like it is suppose to, that is the water coming out of the big hole. Any ideas???

You may have some corrosion blocking pas-sages around the cylinders. If you get a laser temp gun, take temp readings around the cylinders. Or try running a corrosion flush, or something similar (add 6-7 gals of vinegar) in the 55 gal drum, then run for a couple hours. This might clear your problem? If the water in drum gets too warm, let it cool down then run some more time. A temp gun could help tell you if the blockage is clearing up.

Good luck. Post back what happens when able.
