I have 2005 DF225. In 2012 the ECU was replaced as part of the safety recall pertaining to a backfire. I am currently trying to setup an NMEA2000 engine interface to work with my Lowrance HDS but am having trouble sine the interface cable I got has v3.5 software on it and the software on the new cables cannot be downgraded leaving me to search for another cable.
Would the version of software on the interface cable that I would need be for the 2005 engine or something closer to 2012 since that is when the ECU was replaced? Would v2.9 b the appropriate version for my situation?
