I have twin DF140's, this past weekend I was offshore and the temp light came on, the motor was not overheating as I took the hose off and felt the water and it was warm but not hot. Because the alarm limited my RPM's I disconnected the heat sensor on the top of the engine so it would allow me to achieve the RPM's needed to get on plane and make it in. Has anyone had a problem with this on such a late model engine?? and how do I clear the check engine light?
