Need 2002 140hp Owners Manual

Just joined the forum a few minutes ago, and I am looking forward to learning more about my Suzuki 140 from all of you.

I just bought a beautiful 2002 Lund Fisherman with a 140 4 stroke. I have found the service manual online, but I cannot find an owners manual anywhere.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy.

Not sure I've ever seen an actual owner's manual, just the service manual which you say you already found. It has everything I've ever needed including regular maintenance schedules and troubleshooting, so I've not needed anything else.

I have never used the owners manual as there is not much in it from what I remember that will help you solve any problems that may come up

Owners manual for 2002 DF140

Thanks for the replies. I was looking for the "easy out" owners manual that I could keep in the boat regarding any alarms, quick maintenance, etc. with some of the "how tos" in operating the motor.

I have found an owners manual i can purchase for 7800000 serial number ( 2007 model), but no one can tell me if the 2007 and 2002 models are essentially the same. Suzuki is impossible to get customer service on the phone, the dealers are no help, and the online manual sales people say Suzuki will NOT give them any definitive answer.

IS A 2002 YEAR MODEL DF140 BASICALLY THE SAME AS THE 2007 MODEL, if so, I can order an owners manual for the 2007.

I guess i COULD read the service manul............

Hmm. Well, I have the service manual on my phone, which is always with me on the boat. So while it's still the full manual, at least I'm not lugging that giant book around.

How did you get the service manual on your phone?
My DF300AP manual is a frigging big monster and i would love it to have it on my phone/tablet.

Depends on your phone but most smartphones should have the capability of saving a PDF file. I can't recall where I got the DF140 manual years ago as an electronic PDF version, but once I did I saved it to my PC and my phone.
