A little confused

Hi and thanks for add to the forum. Hope I'm in the right section, I have a 2009 300 hp fly by wire motor with faria gauges. Well the speedo , trim and fuel gauges have just stopped working, my tachometer is still functioning. These gauges ( tachometer and speedo) have a digital window with a lot of data available. Now I want to run this info through my hds gen 2 units and delete the faria gauges. I've been told that I need to run an LMF gauge and an interface kit to get the info to my nmea plug on the unit , so basically unplug from the hub , plug into my new cable , new cable to LMF gauge and the into my unit via the interface kit...... Will this work or is there another way?

i suspect that the faria gauges are using analogue signals from the engine, although i am not familiar with them. I doubt they are NMEA2000 so you cant get data from them onto your HDS.

I have written an article that is linked there so thats the one to read, its written specially to answer your questions and help you achieve what you are wanting to do.

I probably had the Little 4.8m JBS Marine platey back then, with the Tohatsu TLDI90?

Got the Surtees 5.5 Workmate now. Since 2010. Zuke DF115 got motor from Jon Eadie.
