DF-25 C/D box

2000 DF-25 one cylinder seems to drop out could it be the C/D box. ? How do I test it ?

to just test the plug to see if it is firing
remove plug .. ground plug against engine and start engine or turn it over with starter and see if you are getting any spark
or put a timing light on the plug wire and see if you getting anything

have you put in new plugs recently?

No, Just got it back from storage. I will go buy a new set. It starts great but just seems to run poorly. You can see the miss.

it some what sounds like a fuel issue
make sure all your fuel is fresh
drain the fuel from the VST and check that fuel filters
the inline filter pre- low pressure pump. the high pressure pump also has a filter
and if you have a fuel/water filter between the tank and engine ..make sure you change that one out as well

Do C/D boxes go bad.?

Anything electronic can go bad at some point
However you should check out all the options before having to lay out the money for this part
Do you have a copy of the service manual?
They can be good at the what if game
I.e. If this isn't happening then check this
