Hello, new to this forum and to engine repair. I have a 2012 DF175 and the trim is dead. From the throttle switch to the switch on the engine, it does not move or make a sound. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting?

Checked all the wiring and it's ok. It appears that the PTT motor is dead. The genuine Suzuki part is costly, while an aftermarket part is more than 1/2 the price less. Can anyone advise if the aftermarket parts are of good quality, or should I stay with the genuine part?

I really don’t know how to answer your last question but have a few more questions
first observation is this has not been a part that has been discussed very much if at all
have you tried to put external power to the motor?
are any other of your electrical system not working?
does the high pressure pump work? should power up when ignition key is turned to on position
Starter kick the engine over?
there are several relays in the fuse box- did you try interchanging them?

Okay then. Just wanted to be sure you've covered all the bases. In answer to your question in post #4, I'd go for the aftermarket product. Not sure from where you're sourcing your part, but here's one as an example. https://www.obbstartersandalternator...00-p-4816.htmlMike
