Hi All
Lowered the 2012 DF 115 engine and headed out then trimmed it and noticed it was not trimming all that well. Got home and it would not go up or down. Tried the cowling trim as well and still nothing. Any suggestions?

Working overseas at the moment but got the wife to try the coweling switch with engine running but did nothing. Will have a closer look when I get back.Comment

OK so back home and have had a closer look. Can hear the relay clicking when I use the motor based tilt switch and also when using the binacle control. As it is a twin motor set up the other motor is tilting fine. Bad motor starts and runs fine just no tilt. Any suggestions?Comment

OK so things have gotten worse. Tilt trim still not working and took boat for a run and on the way back the engine stalled then saw smoke coming from it. Turns out it was coming from the Engine Control Unit and has actually cracked the case so obviously very hot inside. So are we thinking the trim tilt issue was part of the ECU dying and then just replace ECU?Comment
