Trying to change the gear oil in my old DT9.9 outboard. I only see two plugs, one marked oil and one marked Flash. Obviously the one marked oil is one looking for the other? Help!! Thanks sorry if previously posted new to the site.....

Click on the parts page at the top of the page (in red)
Find the gear case
On the lower starboard side is the screw with washer for the drain plug
Same side at the top of the gear case is same size screw and washer that is the air vent
When you drain the old oil trim the engine up to assist in getting all the old oil out
If you have not done this before you can buy a pump that fits on the top of a quart size bottle of gear oil. The end of the tube has a threaded fitting that you screw into the bottom hole on the gear case. Pump the gear case until it comes out the air vent hole . Put the screw back into that hole before removing pump hose.
Highly suggested to replace the washers with new ones.
