  • Stuck upper engine flush cap on 2004 Suzuki D250

I have a study valve cap on my 2004 Suzuki D250. I have tried penetrating oil but it won't budge and I don't want to destroy yYThe cap. I am on a lift and given the extended engine mount u can't place the muff with out falling in the water.any suggestions to correct this? Thank you

If it's truly stuck so firmly that you're concerned about breaking something, maybe you should buy a new replacement for it, then go ahead and take the pliers to it. If it is the same as the DF150/175 (I'm pretty sure it would be), it's just a plastic piece and seals with an o-ring, rather than by the tightness of the treaded fitting (the receptacle is a female hose thread) and it's doubtful that you could do any damage to the threads in the motor. I have a feeling that if you use a pair of pliers, that it will let go before it breaks. The o-ring is just "glued" to the receptacle.

      I agree with Mike.

When you put it back in, a little bit of grease on the O ring is a good idea to help it stop sticking again.
