Installing an RPM gauge on a 2 stroke OB

Are there wires in the eng wire harness for a DT40(1995) that would power an RPM gauge. If not, how do you hook up a gauge for servicing an eng?

Should look at your specific model/year motor wire schematic to see if those wires are included, or optional. It should also show you where they connect. If your tach is an aftermarket unit, it might have its own wiring diagram to follow?
