I recently purchased this motor and it ran really rough. I ran new gas and seafoam through it and it smoothed out a WHOLE bunch. I did notice that the water discharge is just in drops but not a stream. Is this normal for this engine? Thanks!

The answer is no, not normal
either the discharge tube has something plugging it up or the water pump is not working
did you get any maintenance records?
the water pump should be replaced every 2 years or every 100
If you dont know when the last time it was serviced, can only suggest doing so now
also, get a log book you can and keep good records. Will be very helpful in the long run

Thanks for the input, I felt that may be the case. No logs, no manual, no anything. Just a great price and bad gas. Taking it to the shop, I won't be able to go on the water for about 4 weeks so I will get it the once over while it is off water.. Thanks again.
Do you know if there are manuals online to look at?

These motors are so simple. Changing the impeller can be done in 15 minutes. If you're not experienced then it takes maybe 30 minutes. Change the plate and the impeller housing too.
Online you can look at manuals at http://boatinfo.no/lib/library.htmlRegards, Martin
