I recently just purchased a brand new 2015 DF140. I only have about 10 hours on the motor and after reading the manual and other forums after 20 hours my oil light will come on. Like I said I only have about 10 hours and my check engine light is on and beeping every 10 seconds. Any suggestions on what it would be? I am currently on a waiting list to take it to a mechanic, but kind of curious before I take it in to see what it might be?

Is the 10 hours on your motor calculated from the hour meter on the boat? I know nothing of brand new motors, do they go through some running/break-in period before hand? As in maybe it had 10 hours before being installed, and now 10 hours on your boat and your boat's meter, thus 20 hours total and the beeping is just the first oil change indication?
Just a thought, sure others will have more conclusive ideas.

Is your light on steady, or is it blinking?
I have a smaller DF25A motor which has three LEDs. As I recall, when my 20-hr alarm went off, the light was blinking about once per second. I believe there is a table in my Owner's Manual showing the meaning of different blink/beep patterns.
If you have an SMIS display, you can configure it to show you the running hours. I assume you don't have one, because if you did it would also be flashing "Change Oil", and there would be no question why the light was blinking...

Check engine light is not the oil change.
New motor = talk to your Suzuki dealer ASAP. You do not want to run it again with the check engine light flashing, need to find out the problem and have it addressed. The dealer will connect it to the Suzuki diagnostic system and that will tell them the problem straight away.

2015 115's with the same issue but about 30 hrs on them now. I have had the motors into the shop and diagnostics show nothing wrong. Engines run great, but the error alarms are annoying. The alarms tend to stop shortly after they begin. Typically less than a minute. Sensors set a bit too tight and sounding false alarms?
