Hi folks,
I have a NMEA 2000 network setup on my boat with a DF300 mod 2009 interface, a 4" Suzuki SMIS, a Garmin GMI-20 and several fluid level sensors linked to it. The system runs fine, all engine and fuel/water data properly displayed at the MFD and the SMIS gauge.
I recently tried to add a second 4" Suzuki SMIS to the network, but on power-on I got a couple of error messages about "keyless battery low" or something like that. The warnings were displayed on the new gauge only, and a "check engine" message is permanantly on display. The S/W version of the new SMIS is 2.6.0, but the old one is running on 2.5.0.
So, the question is: do I upgrade the old one to 2.6.0 or downgrade the new one to 2.5.0? If I upgrade the old one to 2.6.0, how do I set off the error message (which I assume that will be displayed on both gauges once the old one is on the 2.6.0 version)?
