Dt 115 check engine light flashing.

Im new here and have a question. I have a 1999 Suzuki DT 115 oil and fuel injection. On my oil guage in the console it is flashing red check engine light. I have plenty of 2 stroke oil in the oil tank. Could this be the oil flow sensor? Or another problem?

Is it flashing in a special 2 number sequence as in a number of flashes, a pause, then another number of flashes, another pause then the series starts over, if so record the code for help.

Yes. I am not home right now but it seems to be flasing twice, then a pause, the twice again. I will investigate further this afternoon.

The code is flashing 1-4. Meaning it flahes once then 4 times after.

Im guessing the same codes apply to the EFI 2 strokes, mine is the Dt115 2 stroke. Thanks again.

No, the codes are not the same. I'll find my manual and look that code up. I'll Get back later today.
I think the code is related to the ambient air sensor?

I was wrong. If it is the 1 - 4 code that would be the cylinder wall temp sensor.

Ok I figured it out. The harness connector to the sensor was loose. Thats fixed. Boat ran like a champ.
Now.... this one has stumped me. I took the killswitch lanyard off (just to see) and boat still cranked. My rpm guage wasnt working before but when i did this it started back working while killswitch button was all the way down... Wiring issues?

Yes, or possibly a bad kill switch? When lanyard is pulled, it should short out firing to plugs at CDI unit.
Id check wiring first.
