Does the new 300 ap display oil pressure with the c10 gauges?

  • #2
The gauges only display data that the engines send to them via the NMEA2000 network.

And according to the latest info that I have, the engines don't send oil pressure data to the network, therefore it will not be available on the C10 display. Double check with the supplier to be sure.

If you want oil pressure data on your C10 display, would be able to add a pressure sensor to the engine and connect it to the network. Once configured (which should be able to be done via the C10), the C10 will then display engine oil pressure.

Sensor is available from Suzuki (P/N 990C0-88139) cost about $120 US. Or same thing is available from Lowrance for about $100.

I guess that's what I was trying to ask. I was hoping maybe it was just a setting thing with the c10. You would think a 4 stroke would have the oil pressure sensor already on the motor.
Oil pressure would be nice to monitor while running along with temp, volts and even oil level.

      Thanks for the update

Ok. If the oil pressure is an add on sensor, what about water pressure reading I see on some 300 ap with c10 displays.[QUOTE[/QUOTE]

See the document at the attached link - explains what data is sent from various models to the network, and therefore able to be displayed on any digital display (including C10).

According to the link the new 300 ap should output water pressure without any additional sensors. Is this correct?

              Yes.

The list in the document is accurate. If its listed there, it is output to the network without additional sensors.

              If not, it isn't.
