I have an all new boat with a mechanical remote control box on a DF115A. Box was fitted in the factory ('Pre Rig Suzuki'), engine was installed by the dealer.
My previous boat with an inboard Penta diesel also had a (Teleflex) mechanical control, and shifting into gear always went super smoothly.
On my new DF115A, the lever turns much rougher (which can be adjusted I understand), but the shifting into forward and reverse also goes much rougher incl, some grating/grinding noises:
is that normal for this box & engine ?
How 'smooth' should this shifting into forward and/or reverse normally be ?
Thanks,
V.
