Hello, I am having a issue with Faria multi function tach. Suzuki mechanic told me there was nothing wrong with engine and was in perfect running condition. Well my problem is rev limiter light on tach gauge stays on and from talking with mechanic he said it is probably just a faulty gauge. Is there anyway to check as I don't mind replacing gauge if indeed it is but I would want to replace all gauges then so they will match. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A couple of years ago my tach started acting up The revs were all out of line
The mechanic was set to replace it However when he pulled it out - the tach had a copper slider switch Evidently for different engine configurations
By just working the switch a number of times it cleaned the contacts and have not had any further problems
Not sure of this is workable on s multifunction gauge
One thing you might double check is wiring connections
Any corrosion can create all sorts of problems
