2016 DF25ATL remote throttle adjustment

I have a side mount remote throttle/shift and when I put the lever into forward and move the throttle to accelerate, the lever goes a long way forward before anything happens then all of a sudden I take off. There is no smooth acceleration from idle. I can't find anything in the manuals that describes how to set up or adjust the remote throttle. Tried searching the forum, but didn't find anything. Any help would be appreciated!

I was able to find a free pdf setup manual on line for my engine.(2009) Your Suzuki dealer should be able to provide you with one.

But .. You should be able to find a manual for your motor on this site or others.

Thanks guys! Tried the dealer,, but no joy. I found the instructions for earlier versions, but apparently the set up changed to a different configuration somewhere around 2011.
