I have less than 50 hours on the motor. My understanding is that the oil reminder is not audible just the light flashing? When I start the motor I get the oil light flashing consistently and I get four sets of two beeps spaced apart. Maybe its the oil change reminder and I am just not resetting it right? I have been turning the key to ACC pulling the lanyard then pulling the button three times then turning the key off. Please tell me something isnt already wrong with this motor.

The closest code I can find is a 2-2 sequence, which is the air intake system. That fault activates the engine failsafe system which will keep the engine revs low. So if your engine is still running fine then it cant be that code.
Did you do the 20hr oil change? Checked oil level?
What does your dealer say?

I haven’t talked to a dealer I bought the motor from online outboards and installed it myself. The motor seems to be running fine. Although I mostly troll at low speed so maybe I have not tried to surpass the limit. Thank you for your response I will look into it further.Comment

This is how to reset the oil change reminder:
Turn key off
Take off safety lanyard
Turn key on (beep)
Pull out safety button 3 times in succession.
System beeps to show successful reset
