df25 v twin 2007

i have a low hours engine about 150 i think it was fine last season.when laying up for winter i did all the normal things but this time i put seafoam additive to stabilise the fuel and used fogging oil. on start up now it will only start by priming the engine with the accelerator pump then coaxing the engine to rev with hands on throttle body of carb and accel pump. after a carb clean by myself and no improvement, i had the carb ultra sound cleaned which has made a vast improvement, now starts from cold and idles fine, but when the throttle is opened the engine coughs back fires and then clears itself and revs up, but its very hit and miss as to whether it will rev everytime sometimes its stalls. there is also water coming from exhaust at top of leg, but no water in oil sump or cylinders. a dealer suggested a whole new carb, but he would at £700.00.

any ideas from you suzuki experienced guys.
