Hi all, very new to the forum so hoping someone can help me out. I have a DF140A 2013 model, and am getting no water through to the tell tail when operating. I'm running motor in a large tub, not muffs. There doesn't seem to be any blockage at all, as i've used compressed air through all the pipes. The hose coming to the tell tail, is this from the oil cooler? I have put small amounts of air through this, both ways. Getting plenty of water pressure before the cooler, just none past it, Motor has new impellar, so this is not an issue. Doing my head in, any help would be greatly appreciated

can be a blockage in anyone of 3 places that are easy to check
thermostat.. besides looking for some blockage.. check to be sure it is operating correctly
water pressure relief valve.. make sure somethings small have not been
sucked up and blocked open
after water goes through relief valve .. it should be going through an area where they maybe a cover plate on port side of engine.
carefully remove cover plate and make sure there is no corrision and hole to upper engine chamber is not blocked

Cheers Art, I'm pretty sure there's no blockage as there is a lot of pressure pre coolers (fuel & oil), the motor doesn't seem to be getting hot. It's only once the water gets to the oil cooler??? that I think there is a problem. Is this common?? fixable??

I have the 175 Th 150/175 are basically the same engine
140 might be configured a little differently
But I would inspect the water pressure relief valve
The have been a number of posts where debris has kept this valve open not allowing full pressure to the head
Even with the air pressure you mentioned you might try a small wire up the pee hose
My hose comes out of the cylinder block on the starboard side
I posted a thread on overheating at idle
Do an advanced search and see if any of the info will help

I have a 2006 225. Starts and runs fine at higher RPMs. When I slow to idle after a short while it stops peeing and I get the overheat alarm. If I increase the RPMs it begins to pee. Also, when I hooked up the hose to flush it wouldn't pee. First thing I did was backflush and it pees fine with the hose, but still stops peeing when low RPMs and starts again when I increase the RPMs.
I didn't know how to start a new thread so I posted here, sorry if I highjacked a thread. Not the smartest computer guy.
