We have twin 250s, one will start MOST of the time and the other only beeps the 4-2 code. I added a + wire straight from the battery to the positive on of the starter and now it clicks. The starter head socket poops up but appears to not have enough power to turn the motor. I added the small power wire to the motor that will not start only, however the other engine now starts with no problem at all.
I hooked up battery cables from the battery and straight to starter and it still appears to not have enough power. Looking to try anything at this point
