Weak Power Trim on DT150

After posting below, I found some generic YouTube videos that helped. At this point, can someone simply tell me what type of fluid goes in the tilt and trim reservoir? Thanks!


I just purchased an 87 DT150 super six and all seems to be well except for a weak power trim (up and down). I am wondering if it was laid down while uninstalled at some point and fluid may have escaped, or something like that. Can anyone tell me how to check (add fluid) to the fluid level, or any other suggestions for things to look for or do. It does seem to be getting better after using it, but it is still not like I think it should be. Thanks for all advice !! It is appreciated.

My manual calls for Dexron III automatic transmission fluid
Raise to full up tilt - if oil can be seen at the filler plug level it is full
My engine there is also manual release valve for air bleeding
On the side of the bracket _ tightened to specified torque
Use PTT switch to fully raise and fully lower 4 to 5 times
Recheck fluid level
