I tried a search on this, but could not find anything. I just purchased a 1987 Supersix 150 HP Suzuki outboard and I would like to bypass the oil injection. I know that on one recommends it, but I have done this before on older outboards and it just adds a level of confidence that the oil is there.
I just took off the old oil tank and dumped the old oil out. I found trash, etc., and I know that a clogged line = a fried motor. Right now, with premix (and the regular oil injection) it runs great and has great compression.....and I would like to keep it that way.
I have the tank off now. Can I plug the end of the tubing going to the oil injection? Do I need to do anything to the sensor in the cap? Is there a series of steps to make this happen?
Thanks very much for the replies!!!
