2 - DF 3000 AP's with sequential serial numbers

We would really like some help. Purchased the referenced engines from dealer in Panama City last December. Broke in properly and by late February it was evident they were using an unusual amount of oil. Dealer sent a moron, in March or April.

We had our mechanic compression test, and leak down test in July. Failed compression on all cylinders and leak down on 4 cylinders each engine.

Tore down both engines this weak. Valve burn on all exhaust valves, most are cracked, a couple on verge of failing.

The clearance between the pistons and the cylinder walls**on all pistons on both engines is excessive. *The piston rings are visible. *Further, I can, with 3 fingers move the pistons back and forth within the cylinder walls. *This explains I think the noise that these units made from time to time as piston slap.

Two sequentially numbered engines with the exact same problem!

Dealer acts like this is our problem, and can't seem to get to anyone at Suzuke who cares.

Bruce, that's terrible news. And quite incredible that both engines have suffered the same fate.

For what it's worth, we haven't had any other similar reports posted on this forum re these motors, and I haven't seen reports like yours on other major forums I visit.

Your dealer must have said something, or have some opinion as to why this has happened???

I have a 2014 white 300, so far extremely happy. If still under warranty and computer corroborates break in and receipts than its their issue and they have to make right! Get a lawyer to put them on notice, I'm sure they'll move quickly right after.
