We would really like some help. Purchased the referenced engines from dealer in Panama City last December. Broke in properly and by late February it was evident they were using an unusual amount of oil. Dealer sent a moron, in March or April.
We had our mechanic compression test, and leak down test in July. Failed compression on all cylinders and leak down on 4 cylinders each engine.
Tore down both engines this weak. Valve burn on all exhaust valves, most are cracked, a couple on verge of failing.
The clearance between the pistons and the cylinder walls**on all pistons on both engines is excessive. *The piston rings are visible. *Further, I can, with 3 fingers move the pistons back and forth within the cylinder walls. *This explains I think the noise that these units made from time to time as piston slap.
Two sequentially numbered engines with the exact same problem!
