Ηow to install NMEA2000 water pressure sensor on Suzuki DF225(model 2007)

Hello guys

First post for me but i read the forum 5 years.

I want to ask you something for water pressure sensor for DF 225

I bought the EP 90R (Lowrance) sensor and i want to put it somewhere to show me the pressure from lower unit.




I don't want to connect in pitot tube

Could you suggest me something?

This would be just a wild guess on my part, but in the parts diagram Fig. 17 - Thermostat - Suzuki DF 225 Parts Listing - 2004 to S/N 22503F-11XXXX - 2004 to S/N 22503Z-11XXXX
I would use a T fitting and plumb into one of the hoses from the engine holder cover to inlets that eventually go to the engine block water jacket or to the oil cooler (numbers 12, 19, or 24 in the diagram).

Something like that I had in mind. But it is right?

Rather this is the only way to have the pressure in NMEA2000.

I think the one of those hoses is a good place to tap in for the EP-90, and yes, that's the only way to get the water pressure readout over the NMEA 2000 network.

As to the placement of the sender, perhaps someone will offer his opinion concerning my suggestion.

Finally we installed the sensor (EP 90R) before the 3 way hose water.

We took the number 16 and place a tube above with 3-way water hose

We don't operate the engine because we have some work still to do with fuel hoses etc.


When we operate the engine , i'll write results...

Do you perhaps know the pressure that must have been the water sensor?

Hmm, I was going to ask you that question. I don't know what pressure is specified for our outboards, but most outboards call for around 1-3 psi (6.8-20.5 kPa) at idle up to at least 12+ psi (82 kPa) at wide open throttle.

However, the service manual does not write how much pressure we have to have.
