Loaned my skiff with my 6hp 4 stroke while I was gone for 2 months. My neighbor trying to be helpful took the motor off and put it in his shed stored on "it's back" like you would a 2 stroke. It was like this for probably a month.
The motor is locked up with oil coming out of a lot of places including the air intake
I called the dealer and they said it will be $3-400 to clean it up and get it working
I'm not real mechanical but reading about other motors this has happened to some people have fixed it themselves letting it stand correctly, pulling plugs, pulling over ( many times over time) draining carb, oil change, new air filter (?).
Is this something I should be able to do myself or will it require a lot of disassembly and reassembly? Are there "special" problem areas for a Suzuki?
