Leaving ignition key on

When I wire up my nmea 2000 system to read engine functions on my Lowrance will it hurt to leave the ignition on for say 1/2 hr. while I set up the Lowrance.?

I shouldn't hurt, what choice do you have? You need power to set up your Lowrance.
