  • ecu dt150

have had problem with ecu sending out tps fault all year.
    have changed everything except ecu.
got hold of genuine manual and carried out all resistance/voltage checks to sensors etc.all within spec.
when checking each sensor noticed that as soon as a sensor is unplugged then buzzer bleeps out fault.
this not happening when tps unplugged.no buzzer bleep.so said to myself there must be voltage present on output terminal.hooked up 12 pin test lead and with tps unplugged 0.08v present on output.i don't know if this is normal or not?have nothing to reference against.tried unplugging remotes, fuel pump and regulators but voltage of 0.08 didn't move.
what im really asking- is the ecu bad or is the voltage normal.
am trying to locate a used ecu but not common or cheap!
I really need someone with electrical knowledge of these engines, please help.

What year is your motor, and is it fuel injected?

What does your manual say the reading should be?

And, in my manual for my dt140's EFI, it requires a jumper test lead (plugs in at TVS), and supposed to read between 1-5v, according to throttle (voltage from ECU through TVS). Then on my carb motor (non EFI, by manual for TPS), it only gives continuity (infinity), or no continuity (depending on throttle position).

I'm not familiar with your 12 pin test lead, apparently you are testing directly at your ECU? But each motor is different, and you'll have to compare with another dt150, which may be similar to the dt175's, and maybe up to the dt225's?

You might also try and google ”Suzuki ECU test readings for dt150”, you might get lucky?

    Good luck.

      ecu dt150

year is 1998 w model, efi.the test lead basically plugs in between wiring harness and ecu with female connectors coming off allowing testing to be done without shoving needles into connectors.
the factory spec for tps voltage is 5.05v input and 0.605v output.ohms between 0 and 4.
have set tps to these but cant shift alarm fault.
there are no other dt motors around my area to make any comparisons to.(all Honda and Yamaha).have tried google but get nothing really.flow chart in manual basic enough, basically it says if voltage good and resistance good ecm failure.
also finding difficult to source ecm as motors not common around here.
does anyone know of Suzuki outboard breakers that are reasonable in price?
