I just bought a 1985 dt 40 in great shape and motor works great . Problem is I would like to disconnect the controls and use the tiller handle instead. As you folks know this model has both . I do not want to remove or disconnect the wrong pieces , so I am asking for a little assistance . I have ordered new cables and new tiller shaft due to a pieces missing and several other small items . Anyones help would be great . Thank you. Craig
