DF 50 trim motor install

I'm trying to replace a bad trim motor on an '02 DF 50. Any tips on installing the new motor? The fit is really tight, seems like it almost needs to get pressed in. Don't want to start banging on it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You may need to get a engine manual that had detailed instructions for everything on these engines..
