I have a 2004/2005 Suzuki 140 in Johnson clothing. It starts fine after sitting a couple of weeks, but runs rough and has Check Engine light (for about 30 seconds) and won't accelerate past 3000 rpm. After about 20 minutes, starts to run better, after 30 runs great. The next few days, starts and runs fine.
Filters clean, water separator okay. Changed plugs. Changed to alternative tank and line. Seems like once it warms up that first time after sitting a while, it dries everything out and then is fine? Where is the most likely place to look in ignition system for moisture effects?
Could this be low battery voltage causing this kind of problem?
Suspecting corrosion in connectors? All fresh water use and ethanol free fuel.
