I have 2 DF90A's that have the same issue with an oil leak on top of engine. One is still in the 20 hour break in period when leak started. Does anybody have an idea what the cause could be. Thanks

seal oil leak.....
Hi, unfortunately, this is a sign of an hardened, worn, or imprpoerly aligned seal. Most jump at "replacement" as trained mechanics are taught. But, from many years in the military and being old schooled farm boy technologies, we don't just cut a goose's head head off every time because it squacks, a little duct tape can be a surprising and less costly cure!
Actually, what I have tried and had work in numerous type of 4-cycle motor seal leaks, is a lot less drastic, and if not satisfied with the results, then lean towards seal replacement. The good side to that leak is with being careful, the seal can be fished out and maybe replaced by pulling the flywheel for access.
To each his own, but I have had some good success with using an ""oil seal conditioner" which is available at most auto parts stores. This is for 4-cycle motors only!!!! Easier to try and much cheaper as a first effort.
Good luck!

it is strange that both motors are having the same issue.are you sure it is not just some spillage from the 20 hr oil change??
Otherwise, with almost new motors like this you shouldn't mess around with anything, just take them straight back to your dealer and get them sorted out under warranty.
I've not heard of any oil leak problems like this being a "known problem" so perhaps it may be a rigging issue. Really doesn't matter, still the best choice is to get the dealer to look at it ASAP and get them to sort it out.
