  • engine oil in exhaust water

2002 Suzuki df90 losing engine oil out the exhaust. All the spark plugs had no signs of water intrusion. Could it be engine holder or drive shaft seal? Thanks

    Oil Leak

Most likely engine holder gasket or oil pan , check for corrosion

      I had similar issue

The power head sits on top of the engine holder. There is a bolted down aluminum plate that opens to linkage. On top of this plate I had corrosion that was allowing oil to leak out. Easy fix. 16 bolts and lift the power head up and replace or repair plate.

        Here is pic of cover

Had to figure out the pic attachment. A leAK here will drip out the shaft and out the prop when running. Does oil drip down shaft when tilted.

          engine oil in exhaust water

I just got this motor, have not had it tilted or on the boat. I changed oil & filter ,started it up and ran it for about fifteen minutes. Had a lot of oil coming out with the water. Seemed worse ran you ran it gear. Thanks for your reply.

            Easy fix

Disconnecting a few water hoses and fuel line, valve cover and a few bolts allows the head to raise enough for the work. Easy work if mechanically inclined.
