I purchased a 2015 Suzuki 25 hp motor a few months ago and have had a nagging problem with a loud rattle when the motor is in forward or reverse at idle speed. My brother in law has an identical motor purchased recently and is experiencing the same problem. I have spoken with the repair shop mechanic at the dealership and he informs me that this is a common issue with 4 stroke engines and there is nothing to be done about it. This rattle is driving me crazy since I have had many other outboard motors and none have performed this way. I am having serious regrets about having purchased a Suzuki. Help!!
