  • DT65 problems

    1988 dt65 good compression on ever cylinder check spark with spark board all good replace cdi box checked stator to that's all good runs good on muffs but will not get on plan it sounds like rev limiter is hitting the oiler was already took off when I received the motor so I was think it's in safe mode but I don't know how to bypass all the sensor any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

    I don't know that they used any sophisticated sensors in 1988? Is the oil container stool on the motor?

        Was motor running good before you got it?

        What RPMs does it run up to, and how does it run at idle, and up to the highest RPMs?
        Did you try pumping the bulb when it was at max rpm? Did it make any difference?

          2600 rpms is the most it will get ,runs fine at idle,was told it run find before I got I run it one time and it did find but since then it has been doing nothing I did pump bulb and it need nothing happen

            How much oil are you adding, to how much fuel?
            Can you pull the plugs, put them next to each other in order (top/middle/bottom) then take a close up pic of the three electrode ends, and add that as an attachment when you reply?
            I'd like to see how your plugs look.
