Hope this is the right place to post for problem solving. I have 2011 DF-175 with 1920 hrs. on it which I recently purchased (PS I was told by the dealer that it had 1100 hrs. of course). The service manual indicates changing the balancer chain at 1600 hrs. The engine has perfect compression and runs like a top. Can anyone advise me on the need to change the chain or any other maintenance needed on a high hour engine? I have changed the gear oil and the low and high pressure fuel filters. Motor is a fresh water unit.
Also can the 4 stroke Suzuki be run at continuous WOT like the 2Cycle engines? If not what is the maximum RPM for the engine for Continuous WOT?
My teenagers run he boat and I want to make sure they don't damage the engine as they are used to 2 Cycle engines
Thanks
