Binnacle control for Dt115?

Hello, first time poster here 😃
I have a 1996 DT115s that I need a top mount control box for. Did suzuki not make top mount for the dt115's? I'm not finding them on components lists. Can I use a controller from a larger horsepower? All I'm finding is top mount controllers for 150hp and above on the 98 models and newer. Wouldn't mind getting a used one since its a 20 yr old motor and the ones I've been finding are for the larger hp or 4stroke (DFmodels). I already have the electronics- key switch & wiring seperate so only need the shifter/ throttle with t/t switch. What options do I have?

Suzuki made top mount controls before mid nineties? Are the Suzuki controls not what you want? What's the difference in Suzuki top mount remote control, and the binnacle top mount?

The parts list for my engine (DT115s) on boats.net does not show a top mount control for it but it does show top mount controls for DT150hp+ engines starting in 1998. I am only going by what is listed there and am just wanting to get the correct one that'll work. The 1998 DT115 parts list also does not have a top mount as an option which adds to my confusion. Binnacle or top mount is the same thing and I'm open to used aftermarket or Suzuki but don't know the first thing about controllers, just don't want to buy one that won't work for my motor.

This is what's on my motors. Not sure why they specify 2005 and newer? It only has trim/tilt switch, and a neutral switch?

Probably should call one of the parts locations and ask if it will work for your motor? Three URL below is what I have.

Thanks solarman, what year/size are your motors? Was hoping someone here would have some concrete Info on what will or won't work.

That's why I suggested you call the parts dealer. Ask them if there is a difference in the control that came with your motor and the new control. My controls only have the trim/tilt, and neural switch? What's the difference?

Also, why are you replacing your control?

The motor came off another boat that had a side mount control. My boat has a top mount on a center console and would be more feasible to keep it that way. I have the wiring harness and ignition key so that controller you posted would work perfectly with only the T/T switch and neutral safety switch. I just wasn't sure if it would work because it says 2005 and newer, Looks like I'll have to call them up.
