  • 2014 DF250 AP's Code 7-3

Does anyoney know what this code means 7-3? I have had this code come up twice on my 2014 250AP port motor when I first start the motor. When this code comes up on the port motor. The port motor shakes and shows up on both gauges. Is it normal to show up on both Suzuki gauges? I have to wait about ten seconds and restart the motor and it goes away. I might have to do this twice. The motor runs great all day. No hesitation at all.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Thank you in advance.

Never heard of a 7-3 code, it doesn't appear on the list for my 2010 DF115. So if that's really what it is, then it must be a new code. Maybe talk to your dealer.

The engines are very voltage sensitive. So just in case, check your battery terminals and master switch for corrosion and tight connections, and clean them up anyway. Make sure batteries are holding a good charge. Problem might go away if this is the issue.

The fault message will appear in both SMIS displays because both are in the network. The gauges themselves may well be configured to show data from only one engine, but despite that they can and will show fault codes from either engine - in other words, each gauge is not just linked to one engine, but to everything on the network, simultaneously. It's like having 2 screens attached to one computer!

    Hope you get it sorted.

Anyone else ever have this code on their 2014 250's or 300's?

Do you have the white and black lead wires also connected to your battery used for starting? I was having gauge issues with it needing resetting for the set up but once I separated the black/white ecm wires to my back up battery I have had no issues! I have a 2014 300A.

I have Same Mystery Code !!!!

Yes, I have the same code on my DF250 2014.
7-3 code, warning alarm " Check Shift Control"
I brought it in and finally after 2 months of suzuki saying there is no
7-3 code we have come to a solution.
Suzuki is replacing the whole shift wiring assembly after only 84 hrs. on the
engine. I have a responded to others and I think 7-3 code is not what Zuki wants to hear. Have your MECH. check with SE Florida rep. We are waiting for delivery now. Good Luck.
